Resources for Women.
This is a collection of resources that I've put together specifically for women as a part of my "What Do Women Want" series of blogposts.
Here are a few of my favorite XX chromosome'd YouTube reviewers. I love watching YouTube videos on vaping. But I have to admit, as much as I adore Grimm Green and Phil Bussardo, I really enjoy getting a woman's perspective on things. And no offense to either of those guys, but I think they'd agree that (in addition to the change of perspective) for the ocular health of all viewers, these gals are far fairer on the eyes.
Facebook is the single best resource for any vaper out there getting started. There are wonderful groups and almost immediate notification of new products and services. You can participate in contests and connect with your local Brick & Mortar stores. The only word of warning that I'd give is that, like EVERYTHING on Facebook, there can be drama. People can be rude. But you know all that already. Just know going into it that THAT aspect of Facebook is ever present in every community.
This is the link to Chicks with Wicks Private Facebook Group - This is a closed group on Facebook run by a couple of really incredible women.
GoreGoreBritnee's public Facebook page. She'll literally answer your questions almost 24/7 on her page.
Women Vape Too - Another Facebook closed group dedicated to women who vape. I literally know nothing about these gals (largely because I'm not a member, but seems like another resource worth checking out.
Ladies, come on, you're on Pinterest. You know you are. Men, if you aren't on Pinterest, you should be. I'm a car enthusiast and I get more great auto industry news and incredible photos of collectible and new cars on Pinterest than I do on any other social media platform. It has gone WAY beyond doilies and crochet patterns. Everyone should be on Pinterest. It's the single best random-sit-on-the-couch-time-consumer that I've found online. It's just fun. I haven't found a ton of resources regarding vaping for women on there, so I started a board of my own. It doesn't have much on it yet, but it's growing.
I'm convinced that what women really want in vaping is options. I'm posting some links to unique products here that have a decidedly feminine bent to them. That does NOT mean that women always or only are interested in feminine product styling. But for every one product that could be defined as "feminine," there are 1000 that are decidedly "masculine" in design aesthetic. So I'm simply beginning to compile some products here that do venture into the realm of feminine design.
Vapor Couture. Okay, now this company is cool if you want to use a cig-a-like. I mean I think their product design is amazing. It is the girlie side of V2. Bear in mind that they only make cig-a-like products that use cartomizers on top of really small batteries. But there is no arguing that they are beautiful. And the fact that you can buy carrying cases that match the style of them and also serve as fully functional wallets and have makeup touch-up mirrors in them. All I can say is that somebody at this company knows good product design. I have not tried these products and cannot offer any advice on whether they are any good. But they are beautiful. My guess is that anyone reading a blog on vaping is probably WAY past the cig-a-like phase, but who knows. Maybe you just want a quick on-the-go solution.
These guys are just cool. I mean SERIOUSLY cool. They make over the shoulder and backpack style bags just for vapers. Their bags are definitely designed more with the serious vaper in mind. They have ample slots for mods and juice storage, batteries, etc. So these are absolutely perfect for the rebuilding crowd who might want to tote their whole stash of gear to the next vape meet or down to their local shop. Even on a long car trip, these would be ideal. I think they're likely a little bit overkill for daily use. If you need to bring 5 mods and 14 batteries with you just to drive to work, you likely need to seek some professional help. But these are really cool for the vape hobbyist. And they come in designs that would appeal to men or women.
This is an e-liquid company with a line that is designed specifically to appeal to women. They state "This company is created by women with an aesthetic that demands respect and exudes confidence and we strive to provide the best quality product with the best quality presentation possible." I have not tried this liquid, but will down the road. At any rate, check them out and let me know if they are any good.
