I'm not entirely certain, but the juice that I've bought locally is significantly different from the juice that I've made myself in a very key way. I have no clue why, but it doesn't seem to hold its flavor. Or in some cases, it's gotten worse with age. On the other hand, all the juices that I've made myself have been darn near unvapable on their immediate creation and have only gotten better with age, hitting a peak right about a week old. But I've got several bottles from my very first batch that I made, at least 3 weeks ago, that are great and better than they were a couple weeks ago. I have zero clue why this is the case, but I sure wish I knew. It's entirely possible that my local guys are using inferior grade products, not including enough flavor, etc. But it's pretty consistent with two of the three local vendors I've shopped at. The third is the exception and their juice has held up as well as the stuff I make myself.
Needless to say, but it's painful to pour money down the drain. It's just so darned hard to get a good idea if a juice is going to be a winner via one or two puffs in a store on a cheap clearomizer supplied by them. But I suppose such is the cost of this new hobby and I shouldn't feel bad about it. It makes me even more glad that I invested the money and time into DIYing it though. I find it a whole lot more acceptable to dump 40 cents down the drain than I do dumping $53 dollars. That would have bought me a cool new mod. Bah.
