I drilled out a hole on the bottom in each corner to insert 1/2" dowels and raise the whole thing up off the desk, but haven't decided whether to add that touch yet because I'm kind of liking the way that it looks sitting flush on the desk. The whole thing is much heavier than I anticipated it would be. I made it out of oak and stained it a light walnut.
In other news, I think I have a problem. The other night, I mixed up my first batch of Mt. Baker Vapor's Cinnamon Roll juice. It had sat long enough so today I put it in one of my iClear 30 tanks (I don't like the iClear tanks so they have been sitting unused.) My immediate reaction was that this flavor tasted exactly like a fresh Cinnabon cinnamon roll. I mean it is almost uncanny how dead on that flavor is. My second thought was "Okay, fun novelty, but I'm not gonna be able to stand this for more than a few puffs at a time. Glad I didn't waste a good atomizer head in one of my Aspire tanks."
But something weird happened today. I found myself going back to that flavor. Over. And over. And over. To the point that I pretty well polished off a couple of mL's of it. And there in lies the problem. I think I'm hooked on my second Mt. Baker flavor. And this is one that they pulled from their shelves this week due to their big cinnamon scare. I've been able to track down a couple of other producers of cinnamon roll flavoring, but they all seem to receive really poor reviews compared to this one. So I guess once my supply of the Mt. Baker flavoring is gone, I'll be forced to buy pre made juice in this flavor from Ms. T's or DFW Vapors or some other vendor that sells it.
I sure hope that Mt. Baker kills their cinnamon ban before that day comes. Oh, and I revoke what I said last night about hating all baked goods flavors. I guess I was wrong. It figures. I'd recommend trying this flavor out, but well, that doesn't look real likely to be possible. At least for the time being.
